Stamford AFC, fondly known to many supporters as The Daniels, is proud to announce the creation of 'The Daniels Foundation'.
The 'not for profit' organisation will be dedicated in contributing to local, regional, national charities and education through sporting activities influenced by partnerships with Stamford AFC Ladies and Stamford AFC Development Centre 'The Young Daniels'.
The Foundation will carry out its mission by engaging all participants, supporters and members of the football club, creating a vehicle to deliver charitable intentions into measurable results that will contribute to making a difference.
Gillian Walker, Claire Brewis and Guy Walton set the idea following the recent successful Balloon Race managed by Gillian, Claire and Connell Estate Agents.
Club Chairman, John Drewnicki and manager Tommy Brookbanks released the balloons prior to the recent game v Romulus FC. One bio degradable balloon claimed, travelled to Germany within 48 hours of release.
Donations will be passed to Marie Curie Cancer Care through CHARITY24 and The Afghanistan Soldiers Trust.
We have set ourselves a significant challenge and welcome assistance, support and ideas.
