Stamford comfortably won another one sided affair at the Premier Kitchens Arena 3.0.
Stamford started brightly with a quick free kick from Danny Brooks finding Lee Beeson in space in the box after 4 minutes only for his shot to go just over the bar.
It took the Daniels 7 minutes to find the back of the net Chris Gray found himself wide on the right wing and his cross was met by Beeson at the far post with a header for the first goal.
The next chance took another 15 minutes to arrive when a bit of penalty area pinball between Brooks, Mullarkey, Cotton and the Shepshed defence eventually saw the ball come out to Robbie Maddox 25 yards out and his thunderbolt shot flew just wide.
The first half finished with Stamford much the stronger team, Danny Brooks had a long range free kick that didn’t miss by much, Sam Mullarkey had a run and shot well held by Alex Goddard in the Shepshed goal and Brooks flicked on a Ziccardi goal kick to Beeson who shot over the bar from a good position.
Stamford started the second half how they finished the first well on top of the Shepshed defence, only a minute in Beeson saw his run and cross miss everyone in the box defenders and attackers included. But only a minute later the lead was doubled Dan Cotton’s run and shot was spilled by Goddard and Sam Mullarkey was on hand to put the ball in the back of the net.
Only 90 seconds later it was three Danny Steadman found Beeson who cut into the penalty area and his shot took a wicked deflection over the keeper for 3.0.
From there on the game was over as a contest Stamford had a few more good chances and Shepshed's only real chance in the whole game came after 61 minutes when Steve Chaplin looked to have fouled Miles Chamberlain but nothing was given but Chaplains shot was well wide with only Ziccardi to beat.
Stamford had one last chance to make it 4 on 90 minutes Dan Cotton played Dean Oliver in and his effort from the edge of the area was tipped over for a corner.
The Henderson Insurance Man of the Match was Sam Mullarkey.
