Five minutes later Matt Cook found Danny Steadman in some space his headed one two with King saw Steadman drop the ball into the path of Gibson but the keeper was swiftly out to nick the ball off Gibson’s head.
Rainworth then had a good chance when Danny Mayman broke free only for Steadman to chase back and get a block on his shot deflecting it over for a corner.
King opened the scoring on 39 minutes when a bit of a goalmouth frenzy saw the ball rebound kindly to King who from 8 yards out slammed the ball past the keeper.
Moments later King nearly made it two with a low drive that the keeper did well to get down to and hold.
Some good play by Stamford in the second half saw King and Mullarkey combine with Kings shot shaving the post. King was at it again five minutes later when Mullarkey played Gibson into the box he laid the ball back and Kings shot was palmed away by the keeper.
